Three suspects were arrested in a southwest Gresham neighborhood following a four-hour search. The individuals, all juveniles, had allegedly assaulted and robbed a woman in her home on SW Eastman Parkway. The woman was later hospitalized due to her injuries. The search was led by the shift sergeant and supported by additional officers who secured the area.

A Gresham Police canine officer and a Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office canine deputy assisted in the search. They searched the neighborhood for the suspects late into the night. Gresham UAS (drone) officers also provided aerial support during the operation.

Two suspects were found hiding in a local residence’s backyard. The third was found nearby shortly after. The search concluded around 1:00 am with the location of the third suspect.

The robbery investigation is still in progress. No additional information about the case or the suspects has been released at this time.

The operation demonstrated the potential of canine units and unmanned aerial systems (drones) in suspect location. This case provides an example of how these tools can be used in law enforcement.
