Jean Descamps (26) died less than an hour after being told there was ‘no medical reason’ for him to be at the hospital anymore, though he could barely stand.
According to Dailymail, the young man sat slumped in a hospital bed on December 12th, 2023, at Providence Milwaukie Hospital. His legs were bruised and covered in sores and scabs, and he was nearly unresponsive.
Unfortunately, the nurses and doctors who had attended him the night before felt there was no need for him to be there anymore since ‘they had given him the one thing he needed—an overdose-reversal medication. As a result, they called the police to remove him by force since Mr. Descamps wouldn’t leave.
Upon arrival, the officers noted that Descamps was still very poorly and needed more care, but the nurses wouldn’t yield.
One of them was even overheard saying, “There is no medical reason for him to be here anymore, and it’s all behavioural… We have no place to take him. He is doing it electively. He walked in here.”
As they exchanged words in his presence, all Mr. Descamps could do was groan in pain.
