Troutdale’s Holiday House showcases ‘firecracker’ display for Fourth of July

Can’t wait for the fireworks of Independence Day?

Then swing through Troutdale to soak in the latest festive display at the Paz Holiday House.

Like they do for all major holidays, Rick and Linda Paz, along with their neighbors, have transformed their nook into a fun destination, with a bit of help from Uncle Sam. The House, 1722 S.E. Hensley Road, is proudly sporting the “Red White and Blue.” There are countless flags, twinkling lights, cutouts and blowups, eagles and stars and stripes, streamers, music and more.

The Paz Holiday House has become famous locally for its displays, which have been happening for decades. The couple puts up a winter wonderland for Christmas, spooky tableau for Halloween, and showcases for Easter, Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day and Saint Patrick’s Day.

The Fourth of July lights will be on from 8:30-11 p.m. daily leading up to the big day Thursday, July 4. Visitors are encouraged to park along Hensley and then walk along the driveway to best see the display. It will be taken down Friday, July 5.
