Jury convicts man for 2023 murder in Gresham parking lot

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — A Multnomah County jury has convicted 32-year-old Devin Rose for the 2023 murder that took place in a Gresham parking lot.

On Oct. 7, 2023, 42-year-old Justin Graver was shot to death, authorities said. The East Multnomah County Major Crimes Team responded and found Graver dead around 9 p.m. near the intersection of Southeast Powell Boulevard and Southeast 182nd Avenue .

The Gresham Police Department arrested Rose five days later , on Oct. 12, 2023.

In addition to the second-degree murder charge brought by a jury, a judge also found Rose guilty of the charge of felon in possession of a firearm.

Rose faces a mandatory life sentence with the possibility of parole after 25 years and is scheduled for sentencing on Oct. 18. He will remain in custody until then, the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office said.
