Shari’s abruptly shutters Keizer restaurant amid string of Pacific Northwest closures

Shari’s abruptly closed its Keizer restaurant location this month, adding to a growing number of permanent closures throughout the Pacific Northwest.

A sign at the Shari’s at 4998 River Road N stated it was permanently closed and to visit the location at 1270 Lancaster Road SE instead. The Shari’s at 5005 Commercial St. SE in south Salem and at 543 Mt Hood Ave. in Woodburn also remain open.

“We appreciate your patronage. Please note this location is permanently closed. Please visit us at our nearby location,” a sign posted at the front entrance of the Keizer restaurant said.

Shari’s Management Corporation could not be reached for comment. The voice mail box for the human resources department was full. A Google search states the office has been temporarily closed.

The Beaverton-based franchise has closed at least eight locations across Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

Last month, KGW reported Shari’s restaurants have been facing financial troubles, including unpaid bills, taxes and eviction notices.
