I wasn’t surprised to learn that fare evasion on MAX trains is so high (“Readers respond: Fare evasion on TriMet’s MAX trains hits 27%, highest ‘in recent memory,” Sept. 9). TriMet’s reliance on the honor system has always struck me as naive at best.
