Officers soon learned the 61-year-old victim did not know the man who assaulted her. Authorities said she went to the hospital for evaluation and was released.

Meanwhile, officers attempted to track the suspect using a K-9 unit but were unsuccessful.

The suspect, identified by police as 25-year-old Isaiah Marquis, turned himself in to Tigard police on Thursday and was charged with fourth-degree assault.

No further information, including a motive behind the assault, has been released at this time.
