Northern Lights may be visible in Oregon, Washington on Thursday

PORTLAND, Ore. – Didn’t catch the Northern Lights over the Pacific Northwest earlier this week? There’s another chance to view the phenomenon in Oregon and Washington. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Space Weather Prediction Center issued a severe geomagnetic storm watch for Thursday going into Friday. Warnings at this level are very rare, the agency said. The storm increases the chances for viewing the aurora borealis, which may be seen in most parts of Oregon and Washington.
