At long last, the Highway 99E repair and repaving project through Canby has completed all the major elements.
And while the lengthy project put a strain and local businesses along the highway, the time has come to celebrate the project’s completion.
With that, ODOT and the City of Canby have planned a celebration for the completion of the project on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 4 p.m. at the corner of 1st Avenue and Grant Street.
The community is invited to gather for remarks, refreshments and the view the improvements along the high way. After the celebration, visitors are invited to visit Canby’s First Thursday Night Market event from 5 to 8 p.m.
ODOT’s latest report on the project states that all major elements of the project are complete. Permanent striping will be installed when the weather allows.
