Election results: Oregon House District 22 incumbent Cramer challenged by Muñoz

This story will be updated at 8 p.m. with the initial election results.

Incumbent Rep. Tracy Cramer, R-Gervais, is being challenged by labor organizer Lesly Muñoz for Oregon’s 22nd House District, which includes Woodburn, North Salem, Gervais, Brooks and Labish Village.

The district had been represented by a Democrat for 18 years, but Cramer won the seat by 542 votes as a political newcomer in 2022.

Cramer said she is committed to supporting police and reducing crime and has had discussions with the Marion County district attorney and District Attorney Association about tools lawmakers can give law enforcement around gang activity and youth gun violence.

“I’m eager and ready to take what I’ve learned and accomplished and build on it in 2025,” Cramer said.

She said her priorities also include addressing issues she said are top of mind for residents in her district, including homelessness and the cost of day-to-day groceries and goods.

Muñoz, of Gervais, has not held political office before. She has worked as a labor organizer for 12 years, involved in negotiations and bargaining for unions and facilitating union recruitment. She now works with the public education employees’ union Oregon Education Association, which represents teachers and classified personnel.
