PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) – The man suspected in the deadly Vancouver Mall shooting on Halloween night is in custody, and law enforcement have released drone footage of his arrest.
Travis L. Ward, 32, faces one charge of first-degree murder and two counts of first-degree assault after a SWAT unit surrounded his home and he surrendered to authorities Saturday evening.

Authorities released footage of the arrest Tuesday afternoon on X , formerly known as Twitter, describing it as the moment “VPD detectives and SWAT officers located and arrested the Vancouver Mall shooting suspect.”
The video shows Ward stepping out of the second floor of an apartment complex with his hands up in surrender. He can be seen slowly walking down the steps and into the parking lot with his hands on his head and police siren lights surrounding him.
