Oregon, Washington communities to celebrate Veterans Day with parades, ceremonies and concerts

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Communities across Oregon and Southwest Washington are gathering to commemorate Veterans Day on Monday. These various events include parades, ceremonies, as well as a benefit concert featuring country musicians. All of this to honor those who served in the United States Armed Forces.

Here is a selection of the Veterans Day events taking place in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Veterans Day Parade – Portland, Ore.

When: 10 a.m.
Where: Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard & Beech Street, Portland, OR 97212

Elections underway for 2025 Oregon’s Kid Governor

Featuring marching bands, floats, vehicles and more, Portland’s parade will march several blocks north past Alberta, ending at Northeast Emerson. There will also be a closing ceremony, with a vendor and resource fair held afterward at the Walnut Park complex parking lot found at 5305 Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

When: 11 a.m.
