The body of a 31-year-old American nurse, who disappeared during a night out in Hungary, was discovered stuffed into a suitcase and discarded in a woodland area. Kenzie Michalski, originally from Portland, Oregon, vanished from Budapest’s vibrant nightlife district on November 5, prompting a police search operation.
CCTV footage revealed Michalski visiting several clubs with a man who was later identified as the main suspect, a 37-year-old Irish national , according to Budapest police. The suspect led investigators to Michalski’s body, the police reported.
“The Terezvaros police spotted a man with whom the missing girl was seen in multiple nightclubs; he was identified [and] the 37-year-old Irish citizen was apprehended outside an apartment in the district,” the statement read. The man allegedly killed Michalski during an “intimate encounter,” police said.
The suspect, identified by the initials LTM, confessed to the killing, but claimed it had been an accident, reports the Mirror US .
