PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 68-year-old Beaverton man, indicted for sexually assaulting homeless people, is “strongly” suspected of assaulting other women, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.
The investigation into Ronald Burchett began in June when one person told authorities she was sexually assaulted. In October, another person made a similar allegation. Both were homeless and said Burchett offered to help them.

Investigators said Burchett “specifically targeted women who do not have stable housing,” and believe there are other women who were victimized.
Burchett was indicted by a grand jury on November 7 and arrested the next day, officials said. He’s being held in the Washington County Jail for unlawful sexual penetration and sexual abuse.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with info is asked to call the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 503.846.2500.
