There can be no doubt.
There’s no argument that can be made against it.
Wilsonville is now one of the greatest girls soccer programs in Oregon history.
The Wildcats proved it on Saturday, Nov. 16, when Wilsonville rolled past Bend 4-1 at Hillsboro Stadium to win its fourth consecutive Class 5A state championship . In the process, the Wildcats became just the fifth program in state history to win four or more state soccer titles in a row.
Wilsonville – the Class 5A state champion from 2021-2024 – joins Jesuit (from 1994-99 at the Class 4A level), Catlin Gabel (1994-2004 in Class 3A/2A/1A), Summit (from 2012-2015 in Class 5A) and Oregon Episcopal School (2015-2018 in Class 3A/2A/1A).
The importance of that accomplishment was not lost on this year’s Wildcats – especially the seniors who have seen their team go 16-0 in the playoffs over the past four seasons. In addition, Wilsonville has also won three Northwest Oregon Conference titles in that span and posted an overall record of 61-12-2.
