PBOT to begin towing for Leaf Day pickups starting Monday

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — On Monday, you may want to make sure your car is not in a tow zone for Leaf Day pickups.

Although PBOT’s Leaf Day service began Nov. 9, Monday will mark the first service this year where certain neighborhoods have asked the city to require vehicles be moved off streets in order to get a clean sweep.

Towing will happen from Monday until Dec. 10 in only 10 of the 52 designated leaf districts , located in:

  • Northwest: Districts NW 2, NW 3, NW 4, NW 6, NW 7, NW 8 and NW 9
  • Southwest: Districts SW 1 and SW 2
  • Sullivan’s Gulch in Northeast: District NE 14

These are neighborhoods that have specifically requested PBOT tow in order to provide a clean sweep and prevent street flooding during rainstorms.
