Beware Honda drivers, your cars have been the target of thieves across the Portland-metro area.
Since mid-November, the Portland Police Bureau has received at least 18 reports of an electronic part being stolen from the front of a Honda vehicle. One of those reports was filed by a local car dealership after 16 cars on its lot were targeted.
While the thefts have been reported all over, a significant number occurred in Southeast Portland, from Southeast Stark Street to Southeast Woodstock Boulevard; and Southeast Cesar Chavez Boulevard to Southeast 82nd Avenue.
Portland Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying at least one suspect who stole a part from a Honda parked outside a home in the Montavilla Neighborhood. Watch the video: youtube.com/watch?v=uF1cZCbIfaQ
Police urge Honda owners to park their vehicles in a garage if that is an option. If not, keep them in well-lit areas where accessibility to the front of the vehicle is difficult.
