Performers unite to create powerful duo; offer free concert Christmas Eve in Southeast Portland

Two area musicians, Amber Jané Schroeder and Kit Taylor, are combining their talents to form a new musical collaboration and are planning a free performance on Christmas Eve.

Schroeder , of Gresham, and Taylor , hailing from Hillsboro, bring a unique blend of talent, experience and passion to their performances, earning them a reputation as a duo to watch on the local music scene. Schroeder is a vocal powerhouse who has captivated audiences for years.

A Portland State University graduate with both a bachelor’s degree and master’s in education, Schroeder is employed as a teacher at Barlow High School. She honed her vocal skills in the award-winning PSU Chamber Choir and has since become a prominent soloist.

Taylor is an award-winning songwriter who attended Berklee College of Music. He has worked with notable names like Jennifer Batten, Jimmie Herrod and Craig Carothers. Known for his rich baritone and mesmerizing piano skills, Kit has also collaborated with BBMAK’s lead singer, Mark Barry, and frequently partners with Bob Stark, one of the Northwest’s top music engineers.
