PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — A semi-truck carrying a shipment of pesticides rolled over on Forest Service Road 11 while trying to make a sharp turn near Minniece Creek on Dec. 14 in the Sweet Home Ranger District region of the Willamette National Forest.
The U.S. Forest Service announced on Dec. 17 that no pesticides spilled into the creek as a result of the crash. However, officials have not yet said if the truck or the pesticides have been cleared from the watershed.

“None of the packaged pesticide material spilled in the accident, and multi-agency efforts are underway to safely remove the truck and trailer and clear any potential hazards,” the U.S. Forest Service said Tuesday.
KOIN 6 contacted the USFS for more information about the cleanup process. However, the USFS declined to provide any additional information, stating that the incident is currently overseen by the Oregon Department of Emergency Management. KOIN 6 attempted to contact the Oregon Department of Emergency Management on Wednesday but did not receive a response.
