Gresham police: ‘Armed and dangerous’ stabbing suspect sought

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — Gresham police said they’re trying to locate a man accused of stabbing someone who they describe as “armed and dangerous.”

On Sunday, Paul Canul allegedly “attacked his roommate with an edged weapon, critically injuring the victim,” the Gresham Police Department said in a release. “Canul fled and has not been located.”

The suspect is also wanted for violating a conditional release agreement for other charges, including robbery and assault, authorities said.

Police released a photo of Canul, who has distinctive tattoos on his face and neck.

If anyone sees Canul, they should call 911, officials said.

If anyone has information about the case or Canul’s location, they’re encouraged to contact Gresham police.
