Trailer theft rocks Tigard’s family-owned Tamale House

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — For more than 15 years, the Jump family has run the Tamale House , their small Mexican restaurant in Tigard. For many, tamales on Christmas is a tradition, and a tradition that is good for business. The Tamale House has a long list of orders for the holiday.

Recently, owner Tony Jump told KOIN 6 News, they bought a trailer “to put all our stuff in because obviously we don’t have a big restaurant.”

But when they came in to the restaurant around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Jump said he noticed “our trailer was gone.”

Surveillance video from around 3 a.m. shows two people walking around the trailer. Then a truck pulls up to the trailer, hitches it up and drives off.
