Second arrest made in Clackamas Town Center shooting that injured teen

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — A second suspect has been arrested in connection to the parking lot shooting outside Clackamas Town Center last month, authorities said.

Gresham resident Carlos Raul Hererra-Medrano, 20, was arrested on Tuesday and accused of multiple charges, including attempted murder, related to the Dec. 20 shooting, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said.

“Herrera-Medrano was arrested in Gresham with assistance from our law enforcement partners at the U.S. Marshals Service,” the sheriff’s office said in a press release. “Detectives executed a search warrant at an apartment in Gresham and located evidence related to the incident, including a firearm.”

Herrera-Medrano was booked into the Clackamas County Jail and faces charges that include second-degree attempted murder and second-degree assault.

On Dec. 20, one person was detained and one person was sent to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound following the shooting in a parking lot outside of Clackamas Town Center mall, authorities said.
