PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — A unique Oceanside property with panoramic views of the Oregon Coast could soon be the site of a new luxury hotel.
The 1.04-acre property perched above Oceanside Beach State Park formerly served as the House on the Hill Motel and the now-shuttered Clifftop Inn. While the property remains listed for more than $2.9 million, the Portland-based investment group Fusion Lodging plans to purchase the property and build a new luxury hotel on the site, the Oceansider first reported.

Coley and Dustin Trost with Rob Trost Real Estate told KOIN 6 News that the investment group hopes to build a 24-unit hotel, which would include an on-site spa, restaurant and conference center. In its listing, the real estate company describes the Oceanside property as “one of the most dramatic and recognizable oceanfront properties on the Oregon Coast.”
“Restore the current structures, consisting of 12 units or create your own masterpiece,” the Zillow listing reads . “This gated estate is perched on a private headland overlooking the Three Arch Rocks National Wildlife Refuge. Spectacular ocean views. … a true legacy property and the crown jewel of Oceanside.”
