ANACORTES, Wash. (Gray News) – A 77-year-old Washington state woman reported missing nearly a year ago was found dead inside a car in Oregon.
According to Anacortes police, a Silver Alert was activated for Evelyn Smith in June 2024.
Authorities said the last reported sighting of Smith was at the Peace Arch border crossing into Washington state, where her car unsuccessfully attempted to enter Canada.
Police said she was without her cellphone or medications at the time of her disappearance and may have been unable to return home without assistance…
