New rule caps prescription spending for some Medicare enrollees

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — If you are enrolled in Medicare Part D, there are some big changes you can expect when it comes to out-of-pocket spending for prescriptions.

According to AARP, a new part of the Inflation Reduction Act from 2022 took effect this year, capping out-of-pocket drug spending at $2,000 annually.
