Along with cutting their hair as a barber in downtown Lake Oswego for more than 20 years, Izzik Moreno has always been quick to lend a hand or offer words of encouragement to “his guys.”
Now, he and his family need the community’s help.
Moreno, the owner of The Gentleman’s Edge Barber Shop on A Avenue, fell to the floor of his bathroom after feeling lightheaded and passing out, fracturing vertebrae in his neck and waking up paralyzed on Friday, March 28. He has since regained some movement but remains in the intensive care unit and will need extensive rehabilitation. Moreno is uninsured and so the cost will be extensive. Workers at Gentleman’s Edge neighbor Lions Capital Mortgage started a GoFundMe page to pay for expenses.
