Vancouver Waterfront residents demand action against street racing and noise disturbances

VANCOUVER, Wash. (KATU) — Business owners along the Vancouver Waterfront and pedestrians who frequent the area say they are fed up with drivers who speed up and down the roadway.

More than 500 people signed an online petition urging for more night-time police patrols in the hopes or curbing the nuisance.

“With the street racers it’s absolutely insane because they come down here racing back and forth and the speed limit is very very low,” one person told KATU about the constant noise where he lives along the water…
