Lake Oswego barber Izzik Moreno, who suffered a paralyzing injury in late March after fainting at his home in Wilsonville, has made ample progress in recent weeks.
Moreno, the owner of The Gentleman’s Edge Barber Shop on A Avenue, can walk again and his movement is improving overall, although the feeling in much of his body has yet to be restored.
“We went and saw his surgeon on Wednesday,” said Moreno’s wife, Jennifer. “He said, ‘I can’t believe you are walking in here. Most patients don’t walk for months if at all after the kind of injury you had.’ He said, ‘You are in the .1% patients I’ve ever seen,” said Moreno’s wife Jennifer…
