‘TriMet Barber’ gets 22 years for recording women in Portland area restrooms

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A man known as the “TriMet Barber” was sentenced Friday to 22 years in prison for 30 charges related to filming women in public restrooms in Portland by a Multnomah County Judge.

Jared Walter, a convicted sex offender, became infamous for documented attacks over a decade involving cutting women’s hair and throwing his bodily fluids on them on public transit.

On May 29, 2024, he was found guilty by a Multnomah County jury of 30 counts of invasion of privacy and one count of attempted invasion of privacy, after investigators say he took videos of women in public restrooms in a college and businesses throughout Portland…
