PORTLAND, Ore. — Amid a nationwide closure, crafting and fabrics retailer Joann is closing several Oregon locations Monday.
The company filed a motion in bankruptcy court earlier this year, seeking to close around 533 of its 800 locations in the U.S. The initial list includes at least one location from each state, except for Hawaii. More than 100 of those stores will close Monday, joining the dozens of locations that shuttered over the last few weeks.
The states with the most stores closing include California with 61; Florida, 36; Pennsylvania, 33; Ohio, 33; and Michigan, 33. In Washington, over 20 stores are expected to close.
