Tualatin duplex evacuated after fire breaks out early Monday

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — Crews battled a fire at a Tualatin duplex early Monday morning, authorities said.

According to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, crews responded to the duplex in the 19500 block of Southwest 68th Avenue, where the occupants had already evacuated after the fire broke out.

Fire fighters said there was heavy smoke coming from the garage and a fire burning in the building’s attic.
