PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A landmark once central to life in southwest Portland is now in the process of being demolished.
Alpenrose Dairy, a site that was home to Little League games, holiday parades, and community bike races for over a century, is making way for new development. The demolition has stirred strong emotions among residents, some of whom hold out hope for a last-minute change to preserve the cherished location.
The once-bustling Alpenrose Dairy is now a construction zone, marking the end of a rich history of family traditions and community engagement.
