Shooting Suspect Arrested After Multi-Day Investigation In Southeast Portland

Portland, Ore. A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred last week in Southeast Portland, following an intensive multi-agency investigation, Portland Police announced Wednesday.

The suspect, identified as Amir J. Christianson of Portland, was taken into custody on Tuesday evening, April 29, by the Portland Police Bureau’s Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT), with support from the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT). Detectives with the Enhanced Community Safety Team (ECST) led the investigation.

The original shooting happened just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, near Southeast 106th Avenue and Southeast Stark Street. When officers arrived, they found 16 shell casings but no suspects or victims. Shortly after, a man with gunshot wounds was dropped off at a nearby hospital.
