Clackamas County on Saturday formally debuted a new courthouse to replace the undersized, seismically vulnerable structure it’s used since 1936.
The new courthouse at the county’s Red Soils government campus in Oregon City will increase the number of courtrooms available from 11 to 16, which the county said will reduce hearing and trial delays. It also adds jury space and separate, secured “circulation zones” for defendants and others in police custody.
