High pressure builds again over Pacific Northwest

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Really nice weather enters the region Sunday after some brief morning clouds. Temperatures will warm into the mid- and upper-60s for daytime highs inn the Portland metro, while the Oregon Coast will see lots of sunshine with temperatures in the upper-50s and lower-60s as well.

A ridge of high pressure will continue to build over the Pacific Northwest for the next several days bringing temperatures back into the 80s once again. Another thing we don’t see is any significant rainfall in sight. The majority of this week will remain dry and warm with plenty of afternoon sunshine.

The weather pattern setting up this week looks a lot more like early July then it does early May, with temperatures as much as 20 degrees above normal for daytime highs this coming week. The average daytime high for Portland is in the mid-60s. Portland is likely to see mid-80s this week. Get outside and enjoy this beautiful weather.
