Portland’s Plan for Homelessness and Crime

PORTLAND, Ore.– Homelessness, crime and safety are all key issues in Oregon’s largest city. Tomorrow Mayor Keith Wilson will present his plan to tackle these and other issues to the city council, in his first budget proposal since taking office in January. The mayor’s office says 85% of Portlanders rank homelessness as the city’s top challenge.

“Every dollar we spend on unsheltered homelessness must restore the quality of life, ” he said.
