A Chinese semiconductor manufacturer plans to spend $100 million on a facility in east Vancouver, where the company says it will employ 100.
YST Semiconductor Technology Corp. makes chips used in telecommunications and information technology and hopes, with its new Northwest foothold, to expand its sales in the U.S. The Columbia River Economic Development Council, Clark County’s business development agency, said Tuesday that YST has leased 150,000 square feet in east Vancouver.
The development council said YST was drawn by Clark County’s established semiconductor industry workforce, anchored by wafer manufacturer SEH America, Analog Devices and TSMC Washington (formerly WaferTech)…
