Weekend Showers Ahead—Warm Today Before the Shift

Yesterday’s temperatures were spot on: upper 50s to low 60s along the coast, upper 60s to low 70s across the metro, valley, and southwest Washington, and low 70s in the Gorge.

Today will be warmer across the region with a mix of clouds and sun. There’s still a chance of showers along the northern coast tomorrow, but the rest of the region will likely stay dry.

Showers are expected to return Sunday and linger into early next week. However, rain totals have backed off a bit for Sunday, now looking like just a few hundredths to about a tenth of an inch. Monday still appears to be the wettest day (up to a quarter of an inch), with showers possibly lingering through Wednesday. Models haven’t fully aligned yet, so there’s still a chance it could dry out by midweek…
