Clark County councilors hear call for fireworks ban in unincorporated areas

VANCOUVER, Wash. — With summer on the horizon and Independence Day approaching, Clark County councilors heard a call this week to ban fireworks in unincorporated parts of the county.

The discussion came during a presentation from Clark County Fire Marshal Donna Goddard, who was joined by Vancouver Fire Marshal Heidi Scarpelli. Vancouver currently prohibits fireworks within city limits, and Scarpelli urged the county to follow suit.
