PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — If you want to visit Multnomah Falls this summer, you will once again need a timed use permit to use the Exit 31 parking lot from I-84.
The timed use permits , which will be in effect from May 23 through September 1, cost $2 per vehicle, the US Forest Service said in a release. The permits are aimed to reduce traffic congestion and improve safety in the parking lot from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

The permits provide a one-hour window for your arrival, but once there you can stay as long as you want. However, officials said, “a timed use permit does not guarantee parking.”
Visitors can apply for the permit online, and they will be released two weeks before the date of the visit…
