PORTLAND, Ore. — A tragic announcement this weekend from a Portland school. The principal of Hosford Middle School announced Saturday that one of their sixth graders died Friday due to injuries from “what appears to have been an accidental gunshot wound.”
In a release to the school’s parents, Principal Jill Liddle said the school has been in contact with the family of Elios Renteria, and shared the information of his death with their permission.
“Our hearts and thoughts are with them and all of Elios’s loved ones during this incredibly difficult time,” Liddle wrote in the release. “We will all remember Elios as a sweet, fun-loving, and wonderful kid who brightened the lives of everyone who knew him. We will all miss him so dearly.”…
