PORTLAND, Ore. — All lanes of northbound I-5 are back open following a crash near the Marine Drive interchange that briefly shut down the northbound half of the freeway.
The crash appeared to have happened at some point before 8 p.m. Monday, and initially blocked all northbound lanes, according to an earlier alert from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). The agency announced at around 8:20 p.m. that the left lane was back open, but the other two remained blocked.
ODOT traffic cameras showed no northbound traffic on the Interstate Bridge as of around 8 p.m., with a heavy traffic backup forming to the south of the Marine Drive overpass. Another camera showed police cars blocking all lanes just north of the overpass…
