GRESHAM, Ore. (KATU) — Violent crime in one of Portland’s suburbs has been making headlines lately, but police data shows a drop in crime.
According to City of Gresham public dashboard, crime has dropped by 13% between May 2024 and May 2025, though it is up by 4% in the last month.
The city, which spans approximately 23 square miles, has averaged about 7,500 crimes annually since 2021.
