PORTLAND, Ore. — A Portland mother, who told KGW she was shot at by a stranger last summer while holding her baby, expressed frustration on Tuesday. The suspect pleaded guilty to a single lesser charge after evidence was suppressed and other charges were dismissed.
Last August, 41-year-old Cecil Rayford was charged with two counts of attempted murder after he pulled a gun on Cassie Gepford and her daughter. At the time, she told KGW that he came out of one apartment and entered another, then turned and pointed a handgun at the pair of them, just a couple of car lengths away in the parking lot.
Months later, she learned that Rayford would be pleading guilty to a lesser charge…
