Man in custody after hours-long standoff at SE Portland pizza business

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A man was taken into custody after a multiple-hour standoff at a Portland pizza business on Wednesday, according to a spokesperson with the Portland Police Bureau.

Just after 6 p.m., officers responded to the area of Southeast Woodstock Boulevard and Southeast 44th Avenue after employees at a pizza business reported a man was screaming at them and refusing to leave.

Police said he armed himself with multiple knives when they arrived and then started “significantly vandalizing” the inside of the store…
