Aurora borealis expected to light up skies over North America June 1 and 2

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — The aurora borealis, also known as the northern lights, is predicted to illuminate the skies over North America tonight and tomorrow night, according to NOAA.

The forecast indicates that the aurora may be visible as far south as Washington and potentially northern Oregon according to the OVATION model.
