36 arrested during retail theft mission around Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Thirty-six people were arrested during a retail theft mission on Friday, police said.

According to Portland police, on May 30, they conducted a retail theft mission in the Mall 205 and Gateway areas, as well as in downtown Portland.

11 hurt in stabbing outside Salem Union Gospel Mission

During the mission, police said they contacted individuals suspected of theft or other criminal activity, which resulted in 36 arrests on a variety of charges.

Officials said that they also recovered over $3,000 in stolen merchandise, two guns and a stolen vehicle. In addition, they also cleared 26 outstanding arrest warrants…
