PORTLAND, Ore. — Blanchet House is planning to open a 75-bed overnight shelter for women in Northwest Portland, according to a statement from the organization.
Scott Kerman runs Blanchet House, which is popular place for homeless people to come for meals in Old Town. He’s behind the effort to open an emergency shelter for women.
