Washington grandmother drives to Portland for sailor grandson’s Fleet Week arrival

PORTLAND, Oregon — The Portland Rose Festival’s Fleet Week kicked off on Tuesday, as the first two of eight military ships docked along the Willamette River at Tom McCall Waterfront Park.
