PORTLAND, Ore. — A Portland man has been sentenced to more than seven years in federal prison for trafficking fentanyl linked to a deadly overdose in Washington County.
Efrain Roberto Diaz-Rangel, 35, a Mexican national who was living illegally in Portland, received an 87-month prison sentence followed by four years of supervised release. Authorities say Diaz-Rangel was a key source in a local fentanyl distribution chain that led to the death of a young man in April 2023.
